The lighting design for a jewelry display case is, in essence, a miniature art form sculpted with light and shadow. It goes far beyond simply illuminating the cabinet.     • Harmless Spectrum: High-quality LED fixtures contain no ultraviolet or infrared radiation, preventing gemstone discoloration and material damage.

  2. Master Two Core Parameters

    • Color Rendering Index (CRI/Ra) 90: This is a non-negotiable standard. Only full-spectrum light with Ra>90 can truthfully reproduce the color of gems. If the CRI is too low, rubies will appear dull, jadeite will lose its vitality, and customers may find the item looks different at home, leading to higher return rates.

 Lighting layout in display cases emphasizes "seeing the light, not the fixture," using light from different angles to create a three-dimensional effect.

1.Top Lighting (Most Common)

· Method: Install LED track spotlights or recessed downlights at the top of the cabinet.

· Angle: Recommended 45°-60° angled projection.

· Application: Suitable for most rings and pendants. A 45° angle illuminates both the gemstone's table and the metal sides, creating dimensional layers of light and shadow.

2.Side Lighting

· Method: Install light strips or spotlights on the inner side walls of the cabinet.

· Effect: Side lighting accentuates surface textures and granular details, ideal for items like gold bracelets where metal texture is key.

· Note: For wide cabinets, single-side lighting creates shadows on the opposite side; use both sides in coordination.

3.Bottom / Back Lighting

· Method: Install upward-facing lights at the base or use back-panel transmissive lighting.

· Application: Perfect for jade, crystal, and diamonds. Light from below penetrates the stone, revealing internal purity and "water," creating a crystalline, suspended effect.

4.Linear Accent Lighting

· Method: Use T5 tubes or flexible LED strips, hidden along cabinet edges or under shelves.

· Effect: Creates a "wall-washing" effect, illuminating the background to separate the jewelry from it, enhancing spatial openness and a premium feel.

  1. Anti-Glare Treatment

                Glass reflection is a major taboo. Use deep-recessed anti-glare (black baffle) spotlights or add louvers/shields to fixtures.

  2. Spotlighting & Beam Control

    •  Narrow Beam Angle (10°-24°): Used to focus on a single masterpiece (e.g., a high-end diamond ring), creating intense visual impact.
